I’m testing the ‘Cloth’ map belonging to the ‘ContentExamples’ project that contains cloth simulations.
In Unreal 4.27 I get solid 60 fps.
The same project converted to U5.1 gives me 2 ≈ 3 fps??? (60 fps any other map)
The difference is ABISMAL!!
The latest project version (5.1 this time) is giving me around 25 fps (60 fps any other map)
It doesn’t matter what I enable / disable / change (scalability settings, lumen, shadow maps method, dynamic global illumination) …
Does anyone know of any tips of what could be the cause of this issue?

Getting 60 fps on 5.0.3 so the problem is related to 5.1…

Ok I found the issue is the cloth seff-collision. Disabling this I get good performance like the others. UE 5.1 have a gigantic performance drop when cloth self-collision is ON.
Have you or everyone found a solution for using self-collision in UE5.1 without a massive performance hit?

Nothing. And still not fixed in 5.1.1
Does cloth self collision not have this performance problem in 4.27?
Can you tell me how did you disable self-collision? I tried to find this but did not find anything whatsoever.
