My AVG anti-virus keeps detecting infected files when I try to install the Ark Dev Kit and will not complete the installation.

Is there any easy workaround other than turning the anti-virus off?

I’m surprised its setting AVG off but you can just add it to your exception list in AVG.

i tried that, same issue as eihnlazer, i made the exception for the root folder for epic. same problem, am i doin it wrong?

Try adding where ever you installed the ark dev kit, not the launcher. The install directory is probably different then the launcher or the engine installs. The dev kit launches its own game project when launched.
