AUTOSAVES folder: is it okay to remove?

I just noticed that Autosaves dir/folder inside Saved dir in each project can grow big, bigger than I ever thought. Some of my projects have Autosaves dir size as big as 6GB! I also notice that there are several .umap files with ‘_Autoxx’ (xx is sequence number) name, and their size ranging from 200KB up to more than 1 GB.

So, is it safe to delete all files inside the Autosaves directory?

Yes you can delete them as long as you don’t need to restore from an old backup.
