autosave

I’m just wondering if there is an autosave function. or a way to pull models out from the temp directory?

just had fun losing a few days with windows updates

thanks

chris

Hi Chris
Best i you disable the updates and run them every few weeks ( im check and update only once 2-3 months )
as it can do a lot of this sort of problems with restarts.
Are you using Windows 10 ?

updates are managed at domain level. but yes they shouldn’t be running automatically.

still, would be good if there was an autosave once each stage is done.

and better yet if at each stage they could be named separately so they don’t overide the last.

AutoSaving works to some extent but better get used to saving manually. There are good reasons for it.

is there a way yet to pull models out of the temp data…

just lost weekends work after forgetting to save before hitting texturing making it crash…

autosave is really a must for software this early that crashes so much.

thanks

anybody else interested in this feature?

I am +1

Most definitely!
Especially since there seem to be more crashes with the latest version…

+1 would like to be able to disable it if needed in settings.

3 years past and still now autosave option?

Let me add +1 to this as well, since I lost my progress while demoing your software and had no way to ask it to save between processing steps.

An option to Auto Save after a step completion should be an easy add. Maybe give an additional option to save as a new file name when complete as to not over write a work in progress with a bad solve.
