Automotive Viz questions

Hi everyone,

I work for FCA and we are in the early stages of testing Unreal Engine in our viz pipeline. I have a few questions.

  1. Can you apply the same material to multiple objects like we do in Maya or Max?
  2. When I play the map where I placed my car I can’t just walk around it as expected. The camera somehow ends up being under the floor or stuck so the only thing I can do is rotate. Are there parameters that need to be added to the actor like setting the keyboard as an input device for movement?
  3. When I play the map I get these two control circles with smaller ones in the center. They seem like some sort of control indicators. What are they?

Another question: when I drop HDRI Backdrop in my scene I get the HDRI image on the floor but anything from the floor up is black. What parameter needs to be adjusted in order to see the entire HDRI in the viewport? Any ideas? No existing parameter in the HDRI Backdrop detail panel fixes this issue. Ideas?
