Automating reconstruction for sequence in the same camera rig

Hello all and thank you for your help on my previous doubts!

For an animation project we’re working on, we are currently building a prototype rig of 60 cameras to film a person playing the violin, therefore we will need to do 30 scans per every second. I did manage to reuse the camera alignment for the frames, but I am wondering if there is anyway to automate the process so the software can ingest the different frames, use the camera alignment and produce a mesh… I’m sorry if this is an obvious question, and thanks for your help again!

Yes, you can. You need to use the Command Line Interface (CLI), so you’ll need the big CLI license.

Oh! I see, got the wrong license then lol, is there any documentation or tutorials where I can see what can or can’t do with CLI?

Everything is covered in the doc.

Hi again, I can’t quite find any documentation on the website

The documentation is built-in in the software.

Hello Rico,

you can try the command line processing also in our Demo version, but you will not be able to export your results. You can find more information about using command line in the Help - Command Line Interface.

You can also find step-by-step video tutorials how to preserve the coordinate system of full-body scans also via CLI in the Help - Re-use Alignment - Full-body Scans. There are also sample datasets and scripts available for download.

Great! thanks again!!! I was trying to follow the tutorials and download the datasets but somewhy clicking on then didn’t do anything… any direct link to them?

Of course, you can download it from here:

Datasets: Set2-a (click to download), Set2-b (click to download), Set2-c (click to download), Set-logo (click to download)

Thank you VERY much!
