Autodesk Stingray

Like others in this thread I have played around with stingray simply because I have to use maya LT because I always run into issues with blender and fbx etc. I really did not find the lua programming to be any advantage over blueprints or c++ in ue4 at all. They claim they have a large team behind the scenes. Guess time will tell.

I actually find it interesting how epic is so worried about microsoft but they are not worried about autodesk. I think autodesk has just as much power over them due to fbx and 3d tools. I also noticed in the new maya tonight they now have a builtin asset store.

I probably would never use maya if not for all the bleeping issues i run into trying to get **** to work in blender etc. Yes some of it is user error but tonight for example I imported an animation from the asset store to maya lt…clicked one button to bake the rig to the control human ik rig…made my modifications and then sent it back to unreal. To me that is worth it since I am not expert enough to hunt down all the issues and tutorials around blender that i always run into. On top of that blender is on record saying they are not going to fix FBX anymore.
