Autocad plan in Unreal

So our company has been thinking of starting doing visualisations with Unreal, so i started working wit it. It might be a dumb question, but is it possible to import the autocad plan into U4 engine? Or maybe first in Max then export the fbx (just the plan) and import in U4?

I have tried the latter but it keeps saying it can’t import.

You cannot really do modelling in UE4 tho. Unless you had something else in mind to do with the plans… You can only import .OBJ or .FBX in UE4.

You’ll need Max to intermediate it (or any other modelling software that can handle dwg files). That’s the way I work… Bring the Acad plans into Max, build the geometry in Max (add the mapping to your model, both channel 1 for materials and non-overlapping channel 2 for lightmaps), than export it as fbx file to UE4. Inside UE4 you’re going to create and apply materials to those models you’ve just imported.

Thank you rabellogp! That’s what i needed :D.
