Auto Scale UV on all planes?

Is it possible to automatically scale UV for X Y and Z?

For example, this cube is stretched differently in all directions:

It uses ObjectScale YZ to auto scale the front and back, but for the top/bottom it would have to use XY, and for the sides XZ.

At this rate, it needs a material instance for each one, and the cube has to have 3 different material slots.

Just wondering, why not use a world aligned material?
