Auto-Material Landscape and painting Splines.

I’m currently trying to use the Auto Landscape Material from Unreal Sensei

But I’m finding that if I use Splines to try and apply a material Layer or even if I paint by hand on a different landscape Layer. The results are slightly faded almost like it only mixes at 50% or something.

I only can paint the full strength if I paint on the same layer that has the Automateral applied to.

the Spline uses the E layer as its material but you can see it almost just overlayed it over the auto- Material rather than replaced.

When I tint the colors R G B you can see The blue dot was painted on the same layer as the Auto-Material the purple and teal is where the spline is applying the same material but its adding it.
