Hi, I have a lot of materials I need to create from a very large number of textures. Does anyone know if there is any way to bulk/batch generate materials from textures? As a test, I tried importing 6 textures with the appropriate suffixes _AO,_BC,_DP_M,_N,_R, which would be in accordance with the UE documentation on naming convention, but if I highlight these and select ‘Create Material’ It just creates six seperate materials rather than one. So far my google and youtube searches haven’t yeilded anything relevant so I thought it would be worth asking you guys here. Might sound a little lazy of me, but I really do have a lot of textures and it would save me a weeks worth of repetative actions if someone knows of a quicker method than manually creating the material and adding each texture to it’s corresponding node in material editor. Any tips would be appreciated :-), thanks
Ok, so I found this. Looks like I found a partial solution. Seems like it’s just for creating the material instances en mass, rather than materials, but may be better than nothing.
