Is there any menu/keybind for auto-arranging some or all nodes in the blueprint editor? Any feature at all related to this would be helpful.
Keyboard=Q is the most obvious answer. There are also marketplace plugins that take things further. I find Q overlaps a bit too much and often picks weird alignment if you select only a portion of the graph, but it’s good enough for me for now.
Yea it seems to squish things into a horizontal line, with no regard for if the result overlaps. Still if its the best currently available then i guess thats the answer.
After a while you get used to it, and while not perfect you wither select the whole lot, Q, and pull down a few inputs, or do you select higher to arrange the function\events and not select the inputs. Not perfect at all, but it removes that weird other bug where objects always seem misaligned.
The other thing I started doing was using sequence to arrange thing vertically. That makes more sense in my mind plus it teaches me to stop building spaghetti links and to use locals more, which frankly is what I would do in c++ anyway.
It’s possible that tools like https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/product/electronic-nodes?sessionInvalidated=true would be a more reliable overall outcomoe as the developer works with the audience, whereas we have little chance of getting the default tools updated over any reasonable timeframe.
Note I don’t own that tool, I just looked it up as I recalled it mentioned to a list of ‘must haves’.
