In my level I have torches that have looping flame sounds. I use my own flame_concurrency for them. If I use “Stop Farthest Then Oldest,” and stand right next to 1 torch, nothing will be heard if there are multiple torches on the other side of the map even though attenuation is such that only the torch next to me could possibly be heard. If I switch to “Stop Quietest” the problem goes away and I hear the torch next to me. If I delete all the torches across the map, the problem also goes away.
Shouldn’t Stop Farthest mean stop the sounds that are farthest away from me?
Shouldn’t this all be irrelevant since attenuation is such that only the closest torch could possibly be heard anyway?
I am pretty sure this is a bug unless I have a total misunderstanding of how the sound system works. Thanks.
