Attributions for snippets?

What’s the best practice regarding the use of snippets authored by other people? Should I add them to my attributions? I want to add them out of appreciation, but I was just curious if this was standard practice or what?

I think the snippet authors would be honored, to attribute someone, you can do it on the creator’s page directly when publishing, under the new attribution tab
