Attach to non rigged object

Greetings PPL!

Have a question. How can i attach a rigged object to non rigget object, used as an actor?

You see, im making a morgenstern. I will be manipulating the handle, wich is a solid peace of … object, and which got no bones and sockets. I need to attach a rigged chain to it. And than attach a weight to the other end of the chain.

Any ideas?

I cant just add 1 bone to the handle coz i need it to be rotatable due to some metters of design. I need some kind of invisible helper, wich will be attached to the handle location, and to which i would be able to attach a chain. Basically, i need the chain to be binded by one end to the current absolute coordinates of the handle object.
