Attach/parrent Character to a skeletal mesh

Hi guys and thank you for your help,

I’m trying to do a VR ride in a submarine and I just can’t figure out how to parrent or attach the character to a socket or a node on the submarine (as the sub is rigged and animated). Or is there a way to ad a collision mesh to a skeletal mesh so i wont bother with the other way?
