Sci-Fi Hunter Project
Character Story: Reign of Hunt
Main Character: Xyrixor
Xyrixor is a mysterious alien hunter known for brutal dominance, advanced combat abilities, and superior predator instincts. The name comes from an ancient language where “Xyri” means predator or hunter, and “xor” represents dominion or reign. Together, Xyrixor means the reign of the hunter.
Across forgotten worlds, Xyrixor is remembered as an ancient force that appears when darkness falls and prey is most vulnerable. Whether viewed as a living alien species, a myth, or an experimental weapon created for the hunt, Xyrixor represents one thing: an unstoppable predator.
Main Character Features
The main character includes both third-person and first-person camera support.
The character includes three different weapons:
Main weapon attached to the right arm
Combat stick
Dagger
The character also includes a helmet system that allows the player to see in dark areas. The helmet includes three different vision modes and can collect additional information during gameplay.
Some equipment and abilities can be found and used during the game.
Drone System
The character has a deployable drone with advanced movement.
The drone includes a focus mode that allows the player to control the camera around the drone and use its weapon system. The drone laser can damage most enemies in the game. The drone can also be destroyed when touching enemies.
After the drone has been deployed, the player can switch between the character and the drone at any time. The drone also includes a hide system.
Gameplay Abilities
The character includes several gameplay abilities and systems:
Simple hack system for slowing down enemy drones
Ability to knock down enemy drones after shooting them with the main weapon
Simple hide system to avoid enemies
Special enemy hunter that can still detect and find the player even while hiding
Simple wall-run system that allows the character to run and jump from specific wall surfaces
Dash movement for quick sprint-style movement
Auto-walk function
Slow-motion function
Smooth zoom in/out system for looking at distant targets
Inventory widget system for choosing equipment before and during gameplay
Auto health regeneration
Health injector item
Booster item that allows higher jumps for a limited time
Combat stick for close-range fighting
HUD
The project includes a handy HUD that displays useful information about the character and equipped items.
Game System
The project includes a simple gameplay system built around:
Destroying or eliminating targets
Finding keys to open doors
Reaching the extraction point
Leaving the area safely
Commented Blueprints
Blueprints are commented to help users understand and modify the project more easily.
Animation
The character includes a small set of basic animations:
Melee
Equip
Hit reaction
Aim
Users with animation experience can add more animations using the Unreal Engine skeletal system.
Important Note
The character uses Unreal Engine’s default movement system as a base. The project includes a simple wall-run system, but it does not include dedicated wall-run animations. The wall-run movement works through gameplay logic, so users can add their own custom wall-run animations if they want a more polished visual result.
The project does not include advanced directional movement or turn-in-place animations.
