How can a material be applied to a large number of objects?
You can assign a material to a mesh by dragging and dropping a material to that specific mesh. If you double click a mesh you can also give it a default material, so that it spawns in the world with that material when dragged in.
If you want to apply a material to many objects, simply select them in the world and scroll down in the details panel, find the material slots section and assign the material there.
If you have many meshes in the content browser that you want to assign materials to, you can use the Batch Edit tool to assign materials: Batch Edit Multiple Files At Once In Unreal Engine 5 Tutorial | Community tutorial
