Assets Not Casting Shadows

Hello!

I have an auto material with procedural foliage and am just trying to create a simple scene of a small pond in a forest. What I cannot seem to resolve is why my procedural foliage (using Megascans assets) is not casting shadows. I have shadows turned on for the lights, and in the world and project settings. (At least for everything I can find).

The landscape is Nanite, the automaterial uses Displacement and all of the assets are Nanite.

Any ideas or suggestions for what I am missing?

I’d start by checking the foliage assets. You can check your objects properties to make sure its set to cast a shadow. If the object is setup to use static lighting you’ll need to rebuild the lighting to see the shadows. Here is a link for lighting that has a ton of information that you may find useful as well. Give that a shot and see if it resolves it. I hope this helps!

I’ve done all of that and I still can’t see the foliage shadows. Here’s an example of the procedural foliage not casting shadows along with the same tree asset dragged into the scene that does cast shadows:

I feel like I’ve checked everything but there must something simple I’m missing.
