I’ve been experimenting with an XR/VR matrial arts game using a boxing heavy bag. I was working on the BP and a decal material i was using to place targets on the bag. When I had to shutdown my computer without saving my project because of a power issue. The next time I opened the project later that day neither of the assets appeared in the content browser. I was a little interested in this but figured maybe I hadn’t saved/autosaved correctly, so I just started rebuilding what I had done the previous day. Until I tried to save the BP i had just rebuild.
I deleted this weird unsavable pawn to see if maybe something else had happened to the first boxing bag target BP I had made the previous day. To my surprise it seems like the uassets are still in the content folders in file explorer. You can see I didn’t delete the material I remade as the name I chose was different and it was able to save as “TargetMat”, the older version is called “TargetMaterial”.
I circled the 2 assets I remade Bellow in the content browser before deleting the second TrackerPunchingBagBP.
Is there any way for me to recover these missing assets? also what went wrong here?
