I’m trying to gather information on producing assets for ue4 for resale on other markets.
Are ue4 assets proprietary in any way? Can they be sold, specifically as ue4 assets, on market places other than the ue4 marketplace? This would include any kind of asset, including blueprints. Are we allowed to use screenshots from within ue4 to display assets on other marketplaces, ect?
I apologize for asking this, I know that due diligence would provide the answers eventually, I’m just trying to make a decision. I also hope that this is the right place to ask this.
There is no restriction on where you can sell or display content you publish on the Marketplace. Blueprints aren’t really portable to other engines, but you’re allowed to sell anything you produce anywhere you like, and there’s no requirement for pricing parity. Create things, make the money!
