Hi,
recently uninstalled 4.25.4 and re-installed it as prior to this I was having UE4 sluggish performance issues/crashes and good ole D3D12RHI errors.
Well I used DDU to uninstall my previous driver and updated to the latest Studio driver 460.89 [im on rtx 2080 ti].
now when i go to load my 4.25 projects i get this crash on loading the project relating to an assertion failure:
Assertion failed: Size > 0 [File:D:/Build/++UE4/Sync/Engine/Source/Runtime/D3D12RHI/Private/D3D12Buffer.cpp] [Line: 93]

As mentioned i’ve just uninstalled/re installed 4.25 and the drivers are the most recent. would downgrade the drivers to an earlier version but even though they weren’t on startup I was still experiencing an annoyingly high number of crashes. these last few weeks I’ve spent more time troubleshooting than actually doing anything;(
the strange thing is is that i have one 4.25 project that is relatively empty which loads ok, but on the other two projects I have of much larger size/complexity the crashing is occurring with these…
anyone have any ideas on this assertion and the issue?
thanks

ok…so removing this line form DefaultEngine.ini ‘DefaultGraphicsRHI=DefaultGraphicsRHI_DX12’ disables the RTX and the project starts. I just re-enabled the raytrace and put RHI on DX12 and restart again and boom same thing, crash on load.
what can i do, if the latest Nvidia Driver 460.89 wont enable me to load and have rtx? I guess go through all other older studio drivers to see if i can find one that works…
pfff oh to focus on the creative bit;)
