The forums don’t seem to have anything similar, although I’ve notified the people who’ve gotten the error to try deleting the config folder as it seemed to be a general troubleshooting thing to do. But I’ve seen other posts mentioning there’s a known PSOPrecache issue that isn’t resolved yet (maybe it just affects fringe systems?)
Checking with my peers, the error you are getting should be tied to issues with the shader cache, most likely corruption. Since the build is already packed, the engine should not be trying to access something that is “still being compiled”.
In order to fix the issue, please clear your project’s cache, via deleting the following folders from your main directory, and one from you local app data:
After that, launch your project, allow it to regenerate, shaders will be fully recompiled. Once competed, pack a new build, then test again with your playtesters.
I don’t appear to have these “ShaderCaches” folders you point out in the 1st and 3rd items. Does this mean I never properly built my shaders for the project?
For the AppData location, I couldn’t find anything about caches in its folder, which I found in %LocalAppData%/UnrealEngine/Common/Zen/Data/projects
