"Assertion failed" crash when executing build of empty new project

After upgrading to 4.17, any build I create crashes with the error message below, even blank new projects.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Create blank new blueprint project in 4.17 (Desktop/Console, Maximum Quality, No Starter Content).

  • Save default map and set as project default.

  • Package project for Windows 64-bit.

  • Execute the build.

Download project files and build (135MB)

Crash in runnable thread TaskGraphThreadNP 0

It appears something messed up my engine installation. Reinstalling it fixed the problem.
