Are there any plans to add multiplayer functionality to Village, preferably with join-in-progress? Enabling them (especially playing sequences) has raised several issues and inconveniences. I believe implementing this would help Epic in identifying and addressing these issues leading to improvements in the future.
Very curious about the method used to create this green button.
My assumption was an overlay with a solid color behind a Button Quiet but upon testing, all my colors appear very washed out and do not provide the same quality as in the Village demo.
Multiplayer with sequence devices is a big hassle, because cinematic sequence devices set to “instigator only” will only show to one player at a time. If you want to show to multiple players at once, you need separate sequence devices per player. Is this ever going to be changed?
How do we keep the camera locked to vertical movement, but following the player horizontally, like it does outside the starting house, where you can pick up a chicken and fly out of the camera’s view?
As well as being able to lock player movement and heading to a fixed camera plane (like others have suggested), are there any plans to add addition aiming control on top of this? For example, allowing the right stick to control weapon aiming direction relative to that plane.
I’m in replay mode and my camera controls seem to be inverted while I’m using my controller, is there a way to switch this so my camera moves normally instead of inverted?

Are there any plans to allow control of the crosshair when using the fixed point camera + Controls Devices? I would love to make a competitive side scroll mode, but it would not be the best experience for players due to the current aiming limitations.
Aiming at enemies and other players is only doable through targeting assist (from the control device) or player rotation which can lead to some pretty bad aiming experiences.
For example:
To shoot other players, I would either have to
A. Get closer to them for the targeting assist to lock on to them,
Or
B. Rotate my character to where I want to shoot. Which is very different for Keyboard users VS controller Users.
I think it may be a bit more manageable for Epic’s Developers to instead give us different fixed camera perspective devices like a Side-Scroll Camera and then a top-down camera etc. so they both can have separate crosshair control so then the Character’s rotation is controlled by crosshair placement.
i.e Side Scroll Camera:
(Camera can only be side scroll, so it cannot change to a top down angle etc.)
Movement Up/Down - Does nothing
Movement Left/Right - Controls the direction the character moves.
Mouse/RS Up/Down - Controls the Pitch of the Character’s Aim
Mouse/RS Left/Right - Controls the Direction the player is facing
I really like the cameras, I was experimenting with them in creative and it could make some really neat games. I noticed there isn’t really a way to zoom out the third person view, though.
And I also noticed the fixed point camera (if I’m working on a security camera system, for example) will phase through builds on it’s way pack to the effected player regardless of the transition time being 0.0.
Not sure if its the same for CGStudioUEFN, but for me I found leaving the third person control device on after death seemed to introduce sprint once respawned. Would be good if we could choose whether they can use sprint or build in that control I guess.
Would love to see twinstick shooter kind of options for when combining cameras+third person control device
In our early tests with the camera are great, and really open up some opportunities.
What we would love is to have the ability to set the right stick to the player character facing direction when on either side or top-down view, rather than having to rely on the left stick when using a controller.
