Is considered fair use under Epics terms and conditions?
Wow, those are some great deals!
Must have been a short sale! Everything is regular price as far as I can tell
Yes it was on for only 24 hours or so.
A heads up though I bought a few items and they all use dds, which is not UE4 compatible, so there will need to be converted.
Why does UE4 not support dds?
It does support DDS There’s even a special class (DDSLoader) just for making it easy to load DDS textures. You can just import them like normal, as far as I know (in the content browser).
Did not know that. When I tried to import it was a no go as far as importing textures goes. Is there a process that you can point me to?
As far as I know, DDS files are only used by UE4 as Cubemap textures, I have had difficulty importing regular dds textures as well in the past, and gave up on it. The easiest way to get around would be to download the DDS Photoshop Plugin from Nvidia (there is one for Gimp as well), open the file, then save as a tga or png.
Here is the DDS Tools:
With installed you can open/save in DDS format in Photoshop. Hope that helps!
It definitely works for regular textures too, it’s just that sometimes the DDS file is in a weird state and won’t load in UE4 - no idea why happens, but in those cases resaving either as DDS (from something like Paint.NET) or another format works fine.
Ohhh right. I bet I know what happened - the DDS files are goofy sometimes and simply fail to load. What I do in those cases is just open in Paint.NET and resave it, usually fixes the.
Well there seems to be something funky with the format as stored. Maybe a bit old?
Anyways since a few hours ago I figured out IrfanView can batch convert the works but needs a plugin to do it. Strange format almost like someone tried to reinvent the wheel if such a popular app needs a plugin to even read the image.
Well the sale is back on
BUT
I got short changed 3 times now as the deliver system omits the last purchase made so if you buy one item you get billed for it but it is not delivered

They have a contact us section Go here and scroll to the bottom
You should see an email
Yuper it’s all good. got it straighten out and being Labor Day probably had a lot to do with the delay.
Overall not UE4 ready being Unity content but considering the price worth the additional work.
Awesome -
should expect some business from me too
The prices were so absurdly low I had to pick some stuff up. I am excited for their potential
Thankyou for all the great support. Due to customer emails, and the sale being short, I have allowed the sale for a few more days for customers in different time zones to take advantage
Enjoy
Hi ,
I browsed Animated Characters and didn’t the see discount on most of them. Is still being updated?
Cheers,
-D
Its finished applying discounts now, please browse again
I see he is offering a one year subscription to download everything on his site for $189. I hear most of it isn’t UE4 “ready”, but is it just a matter of the DDS format or something else? Would it be worth it for someone who is going to be using UE4 only? Before I buy I want to make sure I can use them.
A lot of Arteria customers use unreal. From what customers have reported, converting buildings and statics is very easy, and characters rquire only minor work.
As my unreal engine customer base is now growing and growing, im also looking into providing conversions on the site too.
Only a handful of packs use DDS too - in fact, the older ones. All my packs over the last few years have disgarded DDS.
