Hello, I’ve got some issues in using the Art Tool. I hope you guys could help me on this:
When I forward the project file of my rigged characters to the animators, they are unable to open the animation interface, also they have this error on their maya 2013:
#Error: ValueError: file D:/Epic Games/4.9/Engine/Extras/Maya_AnimationRiggingTools/MayaTools/General/Scripts\ART_animationUI.py line 3282: No object matches name: :hair_back_ik__anim
Whereas,
I have downloaded the updated toolset from dropbox;
Sounds like they are opening the file, rather than using the ‘add character for animation’ menu. If they open the file, there is no namespace, so the UI doesn’t know what to operate on.
Hello , thank you for your reply. Actually, there is a namespace, but I’ve found the solution, instead of saving the maya file as binary, I saved it as maya ascii file and it worked perfectly fine now
I just had a similar issue with my team. Spent around 40mins trying to debug the script files… then found out the Character thumbnail was missing when “Add Character for Aniamtion”. I shared the thumbnails… and Tadaaaa! Everything works fine
