Arm Controlled By Mouse

Hi if anyone remembers die by the sword they will know exactly what i mean.

How would i go about getting my characters arm to swing with the mouse. I was thinking of making a multiplayer game using this concept.
You would press a key and it goes into this mode so to fight you swing the mouse and it swings your arm with a sword for example. I haven’t seen anyone else use this since die by the sword but i maybe wrong.

Heres a video for it. Legendary concept i think. Just needs tweaking abit and it would be a perfect idea.

I was thinking you could use the mouse to control the arms swing direction. Then hold mouse button to actually do the swinging motion. It would give more control than the version in the video.
