Ark TheIsland Map - Help Please

Dear Reader,

im new to modding, with ark that is, im attempting to make an small expansion island off of the map “TheIsland” which was created by the ark Dev’s. How would i go about doing this in your mind? Im not sure where i should even get started. I have made a regular simple map utilizing all the tools, im looking for a more challenging task.

Are you looking to add an island into the main map, have it be accessible from the main map (like a cave) or totally separate?
