So i downloaded the ark dev kit on steam and it directed me to the epic games launch which i promptly downloaded as well. But when i launched the epic games launcher, it is now prompting me to redownload all 43 gbs of the ark dev kit (again)… and trying to launch the dev kit through steam only sends me to the epic games launcher download…
is there a way to sync the epic games launcher with steam so that I don’t have to download the dev kit again?

Unfortunately, no, the two installations are separate, and copying over the data from Steam to the Epic launcher won’t work. The Steam version is also no longer being updated, so the one you need is the Epic install.
I have an Epic installation at work and at my workstation at home, but at home my internet connection is a joke is there away of getting the epic launcher to verifying the files or checking them so that it does not have to re-download 43GB of files as this may take 70,0000000 thousand years on my P.O.S Internet Connection… “i live in Australia :(”
