Surface Forge is built with cinematic quality and ease of use at its core. It’s a powerful surface painter designed to work seamlessly with any mesh — whether organic or man-made. From buildings and roads to rocks and landscapes, Surface Forge adapts to your creative needs with production-ready results in a fraction of the time.

With three customizable texture layers, you can quickly paint directly onto your geometry using vertex colors or mesh painting. Intricate, natural blends are achieved through height-based transitions, giving you full control over the look and feel of your surfaces.

The shader system is built from the ground up to fully support Nanite displacement, delivering an unparalleled level of detail. To complement this, Surface Forge also includes a decal spawner, letting you place highly detailed decals in your world with precision masks for even greater realism.

Whether you’re building vast environments or refining close-up hero shots, Surface Forge gives you the tools to craft stunning, high-fidelity surfaces with speed and efficiency.
We strongly recommend using the Surface Forge for Cinematic work, and if you are looking to use it for Real Time - we advise that you use it responsibly.

 

The Surface Forge supports:

  • Full Nanite Displacement

  • Snow Layer at a push of a Button

  • Water Puddles blended with your Surfaces

  • RGB Paint Layers

  • Alpha layer to remove parts of your Mesh or mask Puddles or Snow

[DISCLAIMER] nDisplay plugin is required if you are using an Nvidia GPU. This Plugin is enabled by default.

Requirements

  • Mesh Paint Plugin is required to be Enabled for Mesh Painting to work.

  • It's advised that you use Modelling Tools to create a Surfaces and Refine edges (with beveling) when using Nanite Displacement.

  • Virtual Texture Support is required for Mesh painting to work - This can be Enabled from your Project Settings.

  • While Nanite isn't required to use the Surface Forge - most of it's functions are Height Dependent.

  • Displacement via Nanite won't be compatible with Path Tracing, since Path Tracing doesn't support Nanite rendering.
