Hey everyone,
![]()
If you’ve ever spent twenty minutes hunting for the cvar (Console command) that fixed your viewport last month, this is for you.
![]()
Console Blast is an editor-only plugin that turns Unreal’s console into a dockable, one-click board. Instead of typing r.Lumen.ScreenProbeGather.DownsampleFactor and hoping you spelled it right, you click “GI is noisy.” Instead of applying three commands to calm Lumen and forgetting which ones, you click a button and the edge turns green when it lands.
What it actually does ![]()
• 66 ready-made recipes across Rendering, Debug, Lighting, Performance, and Virtual Production — named after the symptom, not the variable.
• One click applies a recipe; the next click restores the exact values you had before. Not default. Not zero. What you actually had.
• The button edge tells the truth: green = accepted, dashed green = partial, amber = ignored (with a tooltip saying why — read-only, overridden by device profile, etc.).
• A live “Changed” list of every cvar you’ve moved off default, with one-click revert per row.
• Build your own buttons from any console command or cvar. Drag, rename, colour-mark, export the whole board as JSON. ![]()
• Keep after restart writes to DefaultEngine.ini so your team sees it in source control.
• Reads your live console registry — thousands of cvars, show flags, view modes, with current values and restart warnings.
No engine source changes. Nothing ships in your packaged game. UE 5.5 through 5.8.

If you try it, let me know what recipe you end up adding to your Custom column first. I’m curious what every studio reaches for that I haven’t shipped yet.
Cheers,
