Are MetaSounds "really" still in beta?

This is not intended to be a controversial question (lol), I’m just trying to ascertain if MetaSounds have been deployed in any commercial products, or if it’s still considered a volatile tech. The official status is still “beta,” but the tech has been out for two years now…that would seem stable enough to actually use?
I know, I know, “you need to decide if you are willing to accept the risk” etc. I’m looking mostly for a real-world answer

Edit: version number in the installer is 1.0, which implies a release version, not beta…color me confused. Any insight is appreciated.

Well, implementing it now in commercial projects may be risky.
Look there:

Multiple entries with metasound, so they are working on it. Which means it will not be dropped like multimaterials or 2d game support was in past. And since they keep working on it its in beta.

So for smaller projects where you can refactor or resist urge to update to latest build, it should be safe.

Makes sense, thank you!
