Are all the free content under free tab in marketplace royalty free? meaning including the free for the month items. I need to use the content for commercial purpose.
Just the assets authored by Epic are bound to be used with UE4, while any other asset (at some technical point) can be used even outside UE4.
And yes, they are royalty free, meaning you can use all of them for commercial purposes, and in an unlimited amount of shipped products.
Just know that:
You will pay 5% royalties when you monetize your game or other interactive off-the-shelf product and your lifetime gross revenues from that product exceed $1,000,000 USD. (one million per product)
