I am trying to create a solo timed run race (ie. a player just records a time, a timetrial). I’ve been trying to get checkpoints to work in the following way:
- all hidden until race starts
- ideally: first checkpoint becomes visible when the player enters the vehicle (plane)
- race starts when the player passes first checkpoint
- each checkpoint appears sequentially
- race finishes when last checkpoint is passed
I can get the timing mechanic to work perfectly but I can’t get the checkpoints to work unless I set “Visible Prior To Race Start” to Yes.
Do I need to change another setting or do something different to get the kind of race mechanic I’m try to achieve. If it’s just a case of a bug then fine but I have the feeling I must be doing something wrong. Any pointers would be great as I’m really blocked with this and can’t publish my island.
