Arctic - Advanced Post Transition Effect

Give gameplay events and scene transitions a distinctive visual response with 25 editable Unreal Engine post-process templates. Create screen-space impacts, ripples, membrane deformation, dimensional rifts and peeling reveals using material presets and Blueprint control.

The package combines 18 Distortion templates, 7 Transition templates, 48 material instances and 7 shared parent materials, supported by an interactive demonstration corridor and English developer documentation.

Distortion, Impact and Screen Deformation

Shape the camera view with effects for gameplay feedback, stylized presentation and visual storytelling:

  • Bulges, dents and folds for localized pressure, contact and deformation.

  • Swirls, lens shaping and wave distortion for disorientation, energy effects and altered perspectives.

  • Impact and rain ripples for responsive screen feedback and atmospheric treatments.

  • Lake- and ocean-inspired distortion for flowing, wave-like movement across the view.

  • Projection membrane effects for smooth, membrane-like deformation around an impact.

Use the authored presets as starting points, then adjust the exposed parameters to match the look of your project.

Rifts, Peels and Reveals

Build transitions that reshape the screen itself. Pull, peel and slash effects offer visual treatments for scene reveals, scripted moments and changes in perspective.

Configurable rift edges let you shape the appearance of a break in the view, while capture-backed reveals can show a destination scene through the transition. These effects provide a foundation for dimensional tears, magical openings, science-fiction disruptions and stylized cinematic transitions.

Where You Can Use It

  • Combat and damage feedback: connect impacts, dents and ripples to hits, shield responses or other gameplay events.

  • Abilities and supernatural effects: use swirls, membrane deformation and rifts to give powers a recognizable visual identity.

  • Scene reveals and cinematic moments: build peeling, slashing and opening transitions around your scene and camera logic.

  • Interactive storytelling: change the player’s view during discoveries, dream sequences, altered states or scripted encounters.

  • Prototyping and look development: compare effect families, tune presets and develop a visual direction before integration.

Included Assets

  • 25 template families: 18 Distortion and 7 Transition templates, organized into separate folders.

  • 48 material instances: authored presets and variations for exploring different looks.

  • 7 shared post-process parent materials: editable graphs containing the core effect implementations.

  • Supporting textures: resources used by the included materials.

  • Blueprint runtime controller: event-driven control for integrating effects into your project.

  • Interactive demonstration corridor: explore effect bays with a 25-item reference index.
