Hello there,
this is my first project with ue4… I’m professional cg-artist and I just started to dive into realtime stuff some weeks ago.
You can see my work at ArtStation - Christoph Schindelar
For my first rt stuff I made some things in unity witch is supereasy to learn and to setup but the renderquallity there is to bad.
Lately I switched to EU4 (that has one of the best RT-renderers I know by now) and I really could need some help.
I have a problem with exchangeable objects when using lightcache. The invisible object gets a lightinformation baked onto it from the visible object at the same position. How can I make this work, or how to applie different lightmaps on some objects that can be switched by a blueprint?
People in forum say it only works with different levels (sublevels)…how is sublevel working?
Next is a startup-UI that allow change resolution and graphic-configuration (fullscreen / AA / quallity / input controller)
I also don’t get any information from my gamepad (logitach) into ue4…any idea why? Can’t be a fact that ue does not support usb-joystick, …thats written in forum!! There must be a solution.
When this things working fine im going to build a ui for the interior configuration (switch between objects and materials as well as lightsettings)
Last step shoud be adding some easter-eggs. For example to fly a little drone inside the room or a small remote car and so on.
Therefor I was looking how to change the character controller from the fps (startup-template) to another and this should work at same time with camera (fps-cam to drone-cam), but what I read here in the answer-forum is thats not possible, …I can’t believe that.
Any ideas how this can be done?
I would also need a blueprint with fly-dynamics; anybody seen something like that?
And I’m thankful if I get some feedback.
