Archicad lights are placed at wrong coordinates with direct link using Twinmotion 2023 Preview 2

Hello

Today I opened my existing scene of a project I am working on and the first moment i noticed some things looked a bit different with the lighting. Then I realized most if not all of the Archicad light sources sent with direct link connection are missing. I mean the mesh teometry is there but there is no emission. I managed to make the glass emissive but Is not the same.

Could someone please verify this or should I post it in the Help section?

Its really important. Thanks !

I found the isssue. The lights are not missing but they are placed in a different coordinate much further away from the Archicad coordinates

I think that the light do not update at all afterthey are placed in the initial scene.

Hello, I would like to confirm that Archicad lights are placed at World Origin instead of how they are in the Archicad scene. Could someone confirm this BUG?

Its very important if you could fix it soon, Thanks !😊

Hello ,

Thank you for posting in the community and sorry to hear about the troubles. I recommend you check to make sure you are using the Datamsith exporter plugin 5.1 found here: https://www.twinmotion.com/plugins

That is the plugin to use for Twinmotion 2023.1,

If you are still having issues please report a bug by submitting a ticket here:

Hello

Thanks for replying! I just installed the Datamsith exporter plugin 5.1 and the March 20th Hotfix but unfortunately still get the same issue. I forgot to mention that the light meshes are imported correctly, the problem is with the light sources.

I just submited a bug report.

Hello ,

Thank you for the follow-up and for submitting a bug, we will be able to further investigating this issue from there.

Kind regards,

Vincent B.

Thank you too! I Want to update that this is happening with Revit too, same behaviour. Should I add another bug report for it too or they might be related?

confirmed. i'm having the same problem with archicad 26 and twinmotion 2023.1 preview 2

Yes, this has been identified as a bug and they are actively working for a fix. Meanwhile there is a workaround . Use Keep Hierarchy for importing option and it will behave normal.

You could also create a separate Archicad scene just with the lights and save it as .datasmith and then add it as an import source if you dont want to Keep Hierarchy for the whole model.

thank you. keep hierarchy works for me

Hello ,
