I’m also very interested in this answer. As far as I am aware, the 3D output of each version is basically the same, it wouldn’t require a huge workload, only making sure it works as well as before. But this is a very important issue for us architects, for we must make sure we can develop our work and be able to use Twinmotion.

We are wondering this as well! I wish Epic was a bit more ahead of the plugin releases. The release dates of new Archicad versions are not secret, and it’s not like they rewrite Archicad from the ground up for each release (although they should at some point).

if it helps to give context for the urgency; I have a 400,000 sq ft project that gets weekly rendering updates; moving into Design development, and we are going to have to miss out on using key new features only available on AC28. Datasmith and Twinmotion have become instrumental to our workflow, but every year are a major impediment to our upgrade needs, since they seem to be months behind on releasing the plug-in

Ayo, doing my part to keep this thread alive and to add urgency to the mix. I’m assuming that we’re not far off on a plugin release; however, some clarity on if it’s even on the docket would be phenomenal.

Regarding the response by EPIC, is anyone from EPIC even reading these questions? If not, very disappointing, are we just talking to walls now? If so, will anyone please give us some time tables? Will this never be done? Will this take 2 days? 2 weeks? 2 months? 2 years?

Hello there, the Datasmith Plugin for Archicad 28 is currently in development.
We don’t have an exact release date yet but we will release it as soon as its ready.

MC - do you know if the built-in functionality for direct link in programmes like in Revit now will be rolled out into Archicad so there is not a continual wait between releases. Is this a Graphisoft development requirement rather than a Twinmotion one?

I would love to know this too. It’s possible for us to increase pressure on Graphisoft’s development team on this front if it’s the cause for the issue, there are a number of Architects using TW that have the ear of the crew there.
Note that ArchiCAD 29 will begin public testing not much later than the date you predict for the 28 plugin. We can’t stay a year off of regular updates to our primary software because a secondary software’s plugin has these sorts of development lags.
