Applying lens correction to images

Hi!
I’m recently starting out with RealityCapture, using photos taken with my camera. I usually import them to Lightroom, to do any basic edits, and this also includes automatic lens-distortion-correction.

I found this entry https://support.capturingreality.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115000781891-LENS-DISTORTION-SHARPENING-PHOTOS, but I’m not sure that fully answers my question: Should I turn off lens-correction for the photos I export to use in RC? Maybe because RC would be doing this internally (if that’s necessary) and that’d then apply lens-correction twice? Not sure if photo-metadata includes a “is-lens-distortion-corrected”…

Also, would it be of any benefit to directly use the RAW-files (NEF since I’m using a Nikon) with RC?

hello, you can use both types (corrected as well as not corrected images), more in the tutorial ‘Camera Priors’ directly in the software,

loading raw images into RC is not preferred

Got it, thank you for the prompt answer. I will read the help-article you mentioned :)
