A friend I work with is running UE5.4 on a Macbook Pro M3 and just received this error message upon attempting to start Unreal after it performed flawlessly for over 4 months: “Xcode license agreement error: You have not agreed to the Xcode license agreements. Please run ‘sudo xcodebuild -license’ from within a Terminal window to review and agree to the Xcode and Apple SDKs license.” Just to get some clarity on the situation, he contacted Apple Support but they said he needed to check with Epic Games, but they turned out to be a dead end as well. Can anyone here offer some assistance on this licensing issue, if in fact that is what it is.? We would be grateful for any suggestions if anyone’s encountered the same problems since our work will be at a standstill until this is resolved.
Has the Macbook recently been updated to macos Sequoia and Xcode 16? Is there more than one version of Xcode installed? Can your friend run Xcode and check if starting or building a project for Mac or iOS works?
