I’m beginning to suspect that the appeal system doesn’t use a human review. I keep getting a 1.13 Keep It Authentic for my Lobby Background. To be clear, this Lobby Background follows every single rule of 1.13. But, it’s approximately a 50% chance that it will get rejected in the first submission when I need to make updates to my game.
This is extremely frustrating because it’s been approved before. It’s literally my active Lobby Background. If I don’t submit changes to fix problems in my game, the so-called unapproved Lobby Background would remain published.
So it’s even more frustrating when after that rejection, I go through the appeal process explaining all this (e.g., I’ve reviewed the rules, I’m sure it follows them, it’s literally the lobby background that’s published right now), and my appeal gets rejected.
I’m very skeptical that a human is reviewing my appeal. And this is a problem if the same flaw in the automated moderation system that is flagging it in the first place, does the exact same thing for the appeal.
Attached is the background in question. I don’t want to make this specific to me or that specific asset. I would like to start a larger conversation about this system. There are several threads that discuss similar issues, but they don’t seem to go anywhere. I figure if we talk about it, and other people include their own well organized thoughts and examples about it, we might possibly get a response.
