I can’t get self-collision of cloths to work in Unreal. I got a character which has a cape and a skirt (Pretty much like Darth Vader) and if the two cloths are a single object then I can make them collide with each other in Maya with APEX but after I export it to Unreal, Unreal totally ignores the self-collisions and the cape is going through the skirt and vice-versa. I also tried making the cape and skirt as separate objects and having two separate cloths but then even in Maya I can’t get them to collide with one another. Is there a way two make it work or does Unreal have some sort of limitation?
Did you try to crank up self collision radius in clothing properties in UE4 skeletal mesh to some insane amounts to check if the feature working at all? Sometimes even when it’s on it fails to not self penetrate and require some play with parameters. (try to set Self Collision Radius higher, Self Collision Cull Scale lower)
