APEX Cloth Crashing on 4.14.1

Hello there, my editor always crashes whenever I play the game. It may be due to the APEX clothing mesh inside that I was able to scale up twice its original scaling. The funny thing is that when the APEX Mesh is in scale of (1,1,1) it perfectly works fine with me. The crash only happens when I scale up the mesh.

I uploaded the crash report below and also the crash logs.

Thank you in advance! [link text][1]

Hey AlsonEntuna,

Can you provide me with clear repro steps to follow in order to get the crash to occur on my end?

Thank you for providing us with your logs and the other necessary information, but I need a way to get the crash to occur in order to enter the bug report.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks,

  1. Import any APEX Clothing mesh as a normal process
  2. Place the Mesh with APEX inside the level and scale the mesh up (it should be more than the default scale (1,1,1))
  3. PIE

this should make it crash

I am not getting the crash you are reporting, and actually did not see the crash in our internal database either. Can you be sure you are sending the report after getting the crash to occur?

Can you provide to me the Apex Cloth file you are using, as the ones I have tested are not producing a crash. I even tried migrating some of the cloth files from the Content Examples map to my new project to see if that could cause the crash, but with no luck.

Let me know if you have additional questions.

Thanks,

Hi Andrew. Unfortunately it won’t crash if you’re the one who scaled it up. We’re using source control using git and sourcetree and whenever our designer scales up the APEX cloth mesh it doesn’t crash in his side but when he commits and requested us to test the level out remotely then it started to crash for me and my other team member. Whenever we pull from our repository and try to test the level out using PIE it crashes but when we revert the scale of the mesh to 1,1,1 it doesn’t anymore.

So it sounds like it has to do with your source control, which is going to be hard for me to test and enter a bug. If you can reproduce this issue in a new blank project, and provide me with the crash logs and steps to reproduce the issue.

Let me know if you have questions.

Cheers,

I’m pretty sure that it’s still not working using git and sourcetree though but whenever you don’t scale this one it doesn’t crash. Maybe you could find fixes to it in the near future.
