Hey @farizz.alhq! Welcome to the Forums!
Would you mind sharing what steps you took to migrate your assets? Did you just use the “Migrate” option or something else?
Any additional information you provide may go a long way in solving your problem!
If you want to migrate single assets:
Try to convert your 5.0.3 project to 5.1.1 by opening it in 5.1.1. It will ask you if you want to convert.
From there you migrate assets by “asset actions” → “migrate” → choose the project you want to migrate to.
yes i just use the migrate option
okay ill have it a go
can you show me how to convert the file?
Open Epic Games Launcher → run UE 5.1.1 → search project file of the 5.0.3 project → open → it will ask you to convert → convert
Something like that. Have no PC in front of me at the moment
Hey @farizz.alhq,
Looks like you are having a problem with your Niagara assets specifically. Have you tried migrating everything other than your Niagara assets?
yes ive tried migrating everything except niagara and i found out that the niagara have issues.
Hey @farizz.alhq,
If at this point you have everything migrated over except you niagara assets, what I would suggest is to make a copy of your original project, change that copy’s engine version to 5.1.1, and seeing if the project opens. If it does open transfer the Niagara files from that copy. If not, you may need to recreate them in 5.1.1 from scratch, but at the very least everything else has been transferred over.
Thanks @Quetzalcodename i manage to migrate everything, one by one and it works, thanks again
