Spline + splinemesh could / should work. Maybe, just maybe, you could get away with some hacky cable component.
my problem with the cable component is that it is extremely expensive with the length i need
Kindof looks as if the firefighter hose is spline meshing/cabling to the ground and then spawning static meshes in a row as a trail. Maybe instanced static meshes.
how much do you think someone would charge to make this for me?
