Anyone know how to create a basic material for diffuse only textures

I’m working on a small indie project in which I need a material that only has a diffuse hand painted texture applied. It basically shouldn’t be affected by any lights but if possible the mesh should cast shadows.

Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?

If you make your material ‘Unlit’](Using the Emissive Material Input | Unreal Engine Documentation) and plug your diffuse into the emissive field, your mesh won’t be affected by light (and should still cast shadows)

If you dont want the shininess of the material then that has to do with the roughness value. Setting the roughness to 1 with a constant node should remove any sort of shine and create a simple flat texture.

Cheers guys…I will try those things out
