Hi. The latest 4.7.2 update helped a little bit but for soe reason a previously clean project now has jahhed artifacts in all the corners and on windows etc when i bring it into 4.7.2
In 4.6 it was only on preview quality and looked pretty good but now it’s obviously changed somehow. i checked all the mesh res setting and lightmass setting… nothing changed. Anyone noticed this? Maybe i’d have to start the project again in 4.7.2 :(… the vr preview button would rock
I’ll post some screenshots when im back at the main computer.
Since then I’ve taken out and redone all the lighting as i thought maybe re-adding the lights in 4.7.2 now would fix it, and it has to a degree. I still feel that the lighting setup in 4.6 had a lot cleaner lines though, really around the joins of objects such as where ceilings and walls meet, and since trying to get that in 4.7 it hasn’t been as easy.
Here’s a couple of still shots from the project. The clean white one was the previous 4.6 version, lighting just done in preview mode but it was still clean and had no dark ‘jaggies’ in the corners etc. The same meshes and lighting technique in 4.7 still give dark bad renders even in production mode…
