I noticed in the release note in 2.1, there is a known issue that the texture process could crash. For my project which are affected, my texture process success, but if I perform texture reprojection with smaller polygon count, the process crash. I want to know if there is any workaround such that I can export a smaller size mesh.

I’ve checked the release notes and this mention is under Fixed issues.
There still can be some new undiscovered issues. What are you texture reprojection settings? From how big to how small model are you providing the reprojection? Is the smaller model already unwrapped?
The original model is over around 30million polygon, and I simplify it to 3million and textured. Then when I try to create lower lod less than 1 million, the texture reprojection crash. In further check, I noticed the model had a single hole and after I close that hole, the reprojection doesn’t crash anymore. Hope that helps.
