I’m trying to set up audio playback such that I can control the volume of the sound and the volume of the reverb separately, i.e. only the reverb is audible while the source sound is attenuated by distance. Previously I would render reverb tails for each sound and use a crossfade by distance node to control them, but the overhead for that gets pretty expensive pretty quick in chaotic scenes. I’ve tried using reverb sends inside attenuation settings, however those are sent to the master reverb post-attenuation.
Is there any way to set this up? Bonus points if it’s done using default UE4 toolsets and no third-party software.
